THE DRIVING TEST EXPLAINED

 

In order to qualify for a full driving licence you need to pass both a Driving Theory Test and a Practical Driving Test.

 

The Theory Test:

 

The Theory test must be passed before you can apply for your practical driving test. You will require your theory pass certificate number to apply for your practical driving test.

 

The Theory Test consists of :

 

• 50 multiple-choice questions.
• A hazard perception test.

The Practical Test:

 

On the day of your test, ensure that you arrive in good time and try to relax. Ensure you have your provisional driving licence and your theory test pass certificate. All documents must be original, as copies will not be accepted.

 

The practical test consists of :

 

• An eyesight test.
• ‘Show me, tell me’ Safety questions.
• A practical examination of your driving skills.
